Trip to Vaishnodevi|Katra

In the months of June-july, many people plan to go out with there families or friends on some sort of trips. Usually many people plan to go on some religious places like vaishnodevi katra with there families. So as we did. We went to vaishnodevi for 3 days.

So if you’re interested or planning to go vaishnodevi in near future, then you should definitely read the following information so that your journey can become little more easy and convenient. ✨

1.TRAINS TO KATRA 🚆

Train would be the best option for travelling to katra. There are many trains which goes from New Delhi to katra direct. Some of these trains are listed below, you can check the availability of the tickets on the official website of irctc

2. AVAILABILITY OF TICKETS/ROOMS

The months of June July are the months of holidays for school and college students. So in these months availability of tickets in short period of time is quite difficult. So I suggest you to book your tickets in advance 1 month from the date of departure. Same as goes for the availability of rooms in katra. You can book your rooms from different travel sites.

This is the visiting card of the hotel where we stayed. Most of the hotels there are associated or linked with OYO. So, they are all good in terms of facilities.

3.PHONE NETWORKS 📱📲

In J&K, All postpaid Sims irrespective of the operator will work in the state of jammu and kashmir. You can only get network for postpaid cards, prepaid cards won’t work in J&K. So you can buy a sim from the shops located outside the railway station. Sim is allotted for only 3-4 days that only works in J&K.

3.FOOD 🍱

Talking about the food, it’s not that good.Most of the restraunts there have the same kind of food with very limited variety. Quality of food is also not that good. But yes there are some good restraunts also where you can get all type of variety and good quality food.

4.YATRA TICKETS🏳

Before you start the YATRA, you must take the tickets for the YATRA from the bus stand or railway station.

And this is the main part of the trip. You have to walk 14km up on the path towards the bhawan for the darshan of vaishnomata 🙏.There are two paths from the adhkuwari. You can take horses if you’re not able to make up to the top on your own. You can take any path you want. There are all types of shops in the path where you can eat, drink, massage or take photos. You can relax there.

6. RETURN 🏃

You can board bus from katra to New Delhi from the subhash bus stand in katra. Tickets can be booked by redbus or any other site. I suggest you to book the tickets before the journey because of too many ticket applications.
